Contemporary Performance Workshop
Contemporary Performance Workshop is designed for beginning + intermediate movers who want to dig deeper into learning contemporary choreography and performing. No previous performance experience is required!
Over the course of this eight-week workshop, we will explore through dance: How do we embody fun? I was inspired by Catherine Price’s interview on the Ologies podcast, where she talked about the physical side of fun. It got me thinking about how movement is where I feel the most joy—and how we can bring that sense of fun into a performance.
In this workshop, we’ll play with how fun shows up in our bodies and find ways to express it through choreography, gestures, sound, and partnering. I’m so excited for this one!
Schedule @ Joe Goode Annex.
